From the Strategic Operational Command of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), Vice President for Defense and Sovereignty, General Vladimir Padrino López, praised the population’s exemplary civic behavior amid ongoing external pressures and sanctions. This electoral process reaffirmed Venezuela’s unwavering commitment to building its future in peace and sovereignty.
Padrino López emphasized that despite the economic and political aggression imposed by imperialist powers, the Venezuelan people once again showed their dedication to democracy and their rejection of foreign sanctions.
“The people of Venezuela have spoken and given a lesson to the world despite the aggressions. Congratulations on behalf of the entire FANB for their civic and exemplary conduct”, he stated. This statement reflects the resilience and unity that characterize the Bolivarian Revolution and its popular base.

Technological Advances Strengthen Venezuela’s Democratic System
Highlighting the technological progress incorporated into the elections, Padrino López underscored the transparency and efficiency of Venezuela’s electoral system. “Today we can show the world the quality and effectiveness of our electoral system, which serves as a platform to continue strengthening democracy,” he affirmed.
This progress counters the imperialist narrative that seeks to delegitimize Venezuela’s democratic institutions and showcases the country’s sovereignty in managing its internal affairs.
Adding to the Minister of Defense’s remarks, General Domingo Hernández Lárez, Strategic Operational Commander of the FANB, detailed the post-election phase. After the voting concluded and polling stations closed, the process entered the post-electoral phase, involving the systematic withdrawal of forces, equipment, and electoral materials.
Hernández Lárez emphasized that the “Operation Republic” will remain active until June 22, covering the entire electoral process, including the election of indigenous representatives to the National Assembly scheduled for June 1. He highlighted that over 15,000 voting centers were secured with missions of accompaniment, security, custody, transport, and protection of voters and electoral teams.
The General praised the peaceful and massive participation of the Venezuelan people, stating, “This proves that sovereignty in Venezuela is determined without foreign tutelage.” He confirmed that no incidents jeopardized the mission’s success and affirmed the commitment of every member of the FANB to democracy, sovereignty, and peace.
With the successful completion of the May 25 elections and the ongoing electoral process for indigenous representation, Venezuela sends a clear message of strength, peace, and institutional cohesion to the international community.
The process exemplifies the nation’s determination to continue its path of self-determination and development free from external interference. This electoral exercise is a powerful demonstration of popular sovereignty and the enduring spirit of the Bolivarian Revolution.
